Since last fall, sneaker wedges have been a really hot trend. We’ve seen Beyonce sporting them while toting Baby Blue around, Alicia Keys rocking them at the NBA games, and they even come in handy to some of the top street style photographers.

These aren’t just ordinary sneakers. They’re unique, they’re chic—and they’re enough to give you a workout just climbing a few stairs haha! Or not.

They are extreme high-tops with an internal heel, sneaker wedges trick people into thinking that you’re casual and sporty while secretly giving you a little lift. I need that LOL

They’re on the feet of models like Gisele Bündchen, Miranda Kerr, and Joan Smalls. Kate Bosworth wears them with a flowy skirt and Elle Fanning throws them on with mom jeans around New York wearing them.

The success of the sneaker wedges is due in large part to French designer Isabel Marant, patron saint of the off-duty model, who has made legions of women look like they didn’t try.

Her $760 Willow sneaker wedge comes with a relatively conservative one-inch heel and an array of washed-out colors. The Willow has sold out at Marant’s boutiques worldwide where the highest-selling pair has gone for $1,435.

These sneaker wedges are elongating on the leg with the right skinny jeans and flattering even. They are comfortable. Cushioned, padded, even orthopedic.

And guess what Auntie got me last night when we went shopping at Pennsylvania? COULDN’T BE ANY HAPPIER!!! ♥ Finally got my own pair of sneaker wedges, can’t wait to wear them hihi

The Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines took the sea in Cebu as the province hosted its fourth staging last August 5, 2012. Participants swam in open water as the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines holds the 1.2-mile swim part in the sea starting at the beach of the Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa in Mactan Island.

They literally hosted the event with the 56-mile bike ride traversing four municipalities (LapuLapu, Mandaue, Cebu City and Talisay). The culminating 13.1-mile run was at Punta Engano, LapuLapu City. That’s where they got 70.3, that basically means 70.3 miles triathlon in the making.

A huge field of 1,319 individuals and 115 relay teams from 31 countries tested their strength and endurance as Ironman 70.3 Philippines provided another once-in-a-lifetime triathlon experience. Glad I was able to stalk Matteo Guidicelli before the race starts LOL

Iya Villania was there to support her boyfriend, Drew Arellano. Won’t ever forget our unforgettable encounter w Drew during the race in Batangas last June! ;)

She was so pretty I had to kinda stalk her too LOL Mom and I was able to roam around the area before the race actually started. And oh yes, my very own Tita Sheila is in it too! We were actually there to support her. She’s my mom’s bff.

Of course! Thanks to my sponsor Urban Athletics for the shirt ;) I totally missed Shangri-La Mactan, it has been 4 years back and it’s still so beautiful. So I just had to share this photo of mine LOL Yup, that WAS meee!

A five star service for a five star hotel. The facilities are excellent. The swimming pool is huge and they have a kiddie pool area with slide. The ocean view pool is really breathtaking.

Going back to the race! Spotted Senator Pia Cayetao at the bike transition.

Mr. David Charlton, the owner of David’s Salons. 57 years old yo!

Ms. Maricel Laxa Pangilinan. His husband, Anthony, was in the race too.

And my very own Tita Sheila ;)

An ispiration to all, one legged swimmer for relay! The runner of their team doesn’t have the other arm. Coolbeans.

Approaching the finish line, Drew Arellano

Matteo Guidicelli

and Erwan Heussaff.

Anne Curtis, another supportive girlfriend right there! ;) I really admire these men for being such great triathletes, met them during the Subic International Triathlon last May and they’re not only good looking but they’re also really friendly ♥

Pete Jacobs ruled Ironman again, and it’s his 4th time! Complete results are HERE. Matt O’Halloran, the champion from TriUnited 2 ruled third place this time.

Such a nice time to eat our late lunch by the beach, back to the hotel as early as 4pm and definitely in dreamland an hour after.

Woke up 3AM for our 6AM flight, bought Zubu Chon (Cebu lechon) =P~ And we headed back to Manila to start another busy Monday!

What a weekend well spent in Cebu, can’t wait to travel and attend a race of my own soon :D Hihi, triathlete dream ♥ Had to burn these excess adipocytes first LOL

Wait, I just had to share this! The only triathlete in a hot pink tutu and she rocked it, Ms. Tessa Valdez. And that Papa Piolo, tweet below explains it.

Formula One world champion Jenson Button also took part in the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines competition, yes. Mhmm.

LOL Without a doubt, the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Philippines is the biggest and most highly anticipated race of the year. With 1700+ participants on race day, it is arguably also one of the biggest 70.3 races in Asia. (Some photos are from Google but most of them are mine) CONGRATULATIONS FINISHERS!!!
